OxygenOS update is now available for OnePlus 9 & 9 Pro

The OxygenOS update is now available for OnePlus 9 & 9 Pro. This update comes with June 2019 Android security patches and some minor bug fixes.

OnePlus recently released the OxygenOS update for the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro, but you might have missed the update notification as it was a small update that didn’t include many new features. In fact, the only change was support for the July 2019 Android security patch. According to the OnePlus forums, the update was released on July 2.

The OnePlus 9 series is getting a new stable update called OxygenOS version. It is available for both the vanilla OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro. The last stable update for the OnePlus 9 was released in April as OxygenOS The OnePlus 9 series is still new to the market and requires many updates for stable performance. That’s why the OnePlus 9 gets regular updates. The OnePlus 9 OxygenOS update is also based on bug fixes and performance improvements.

However, if you do not receive an update notification, you can manually check whether an update is available. To do this, go to Settings > System > System updates. And the latest version of Oxygen OS is displayed. Click Download and Install to receive the update.

You may also not see the update. Since the update is distributed in batches, you may receive it later. However, if you want to install the update immediately, you can do so manually using this method.


Steps to update OnePlus 9 to OxygenOS

  1. Download the latest OxygenOS zip file from the OnePlus forum or via the Oxygen Updater application.
  2. Copy the downloaded zip file to the phone memory. Keep them out of the file.
  3. Now open your phone settings and go to System > System Updates.
  4. Click the Settings icon and then click Local Update.
  5. Find and select the OxygenOS file and install it.
  6. Restart your phone and enjoy the latest OxygenOS update.
